Climate Action Plan
What is a Climate Action Plan?
In April 2022, the Department for Education published the sustainability and climate change strategy for education. It states that by September 2025, all education settings should nominate a sustainability lead and have a climate action plan. A climate action plan will help education settings undertake and educate about sustainability initiatives.
At Chalton Lower School we believe that sustainability is all about giving the children the opportunities, skills and support that they need to take control of their school environment and the wider world beyond. We want to support and empower the children to make their contribution in the widest sense by taking responsibility for their own school community, the wider local community and the global community.
