P.E.
Our PE curriculum at Chalton Lower School covers a wide range of physical disciplines including gymnastics, games (specifically cricket, tennis, hockey, netball, rugby, rounders and football) dance and athletics. Our pupils receive at least 2 hours of PE per week, and this is supplemented by a schedule of structured lunchtime and after-school clubs. At Chalton Lower School PE starts in our Early Years class as pupils become more familiar with their own bodies, movement, fine and gross motor skills to go on to develop a range of fundamental skills that can be applied throughout all aspects of PE e.g. agility, balance and control.
We are very fortunate to be able to work with qualified coaches from Creative Sports Coaching who provide our after-school sports clubs and PE enrichment for the children. We have achieved the Gold School Games Mark.
